Nightlife

Malta prides itself on being all things to all people. It can offer action or relaxation, peace and quiet or excitement. For lovers of music, theatre and the arts there is an extensive cultural calendar. The Knights had built a beautiful small theatre on lines of Milan’s famous La Scala holding 600 people.
Between June and September, a feast is celebrated every week. Parishes light the streets and the house facades in honour of their patron saint. The church sparkles as the crowds move to the rhythm of the brass bands as a prologue to the magnificent firework display which is always the climax of the celebrations.
The Island offers a vibrant nightlife with myriad pubs, wine bars, jazz bars, discos and nightclubs offering distractions for all ages. The two main areas are St. Paul’s Bay, St. Julians and Paceville.
